Why do you need to warm up the hydraulic breaker before using it?

The power source of the hydraulic breaker is the pressure provided by the excavator, loader or pump station, which can more effectively break stones and rocks in engineering construction and improve work efficiency. We need to warm up the machine before using the hydraulic breaker. Many people think that this step is cumbersome and a waste of time, and it can still be used without it. In fact, it is necessary to warm up the machine, so what is the use?

1. Due to the characteristics of the hydraulic breaker itself, the breaker has a large impact force and a fast frequency, which wears the sealing components much faster than other hammers, so warming up can slow down the process of oil seal wear.

2. When the hydraulic oil is in a static state, a solid oil film adheres between the piston and the oil seal. The breaker warm-up is to let the wet hydraulic oil wash away the relatively solid hydraulic oil film, and a new hydraulic oil film is established to open the oil seal. To ensure that the piston and oil seal will not be damaged by strain in the early stage.

3. When the hammer starts to work, it is in the state of the cold machine. Suddenly, hot oil, thermal expansion and contraction, will cause a lot of damage to the oil seal. Coupled with fast frequency movement, it will be easier to cause oil leakage and oil seal replacement frequent phenomenon. Therefore, warming up the machine before using the hammer is more beneficial than harmful to both the customer and us.

Note that the warm-up procedure is to lift the breaker vertically off the ground, step on the foot valve for about 1∕3 of the stroke, and see a slight vibration of the main oil inlet pipe (the oil pipe near the cab side), keep the foot on the stroke for 20-40 minutes about.
